Despite a plethora of new products coming onto the market, Copper Sulphate remains the most proven compound in controlling Digital Dermatitis and helping hoof health.
Copper Suplhate is applied via the footbath. Care needs be taken, both when preparing the footbath and also when disposing of the footbath liquid after use.
Sources of Copper Sulphate
Copper Sulphate is normally sold as a blue crystalline material. There are a number of grades on the market so it is important to check what is being offered – before you buy (especially if the price seems low)
